Day 1-7

During this phase of your cycle called the menstrual you are shedding the uterine lining from the previous cycle. All your hormones are low for the first few days.This phase starts when an egg from the previous cycle isn’t fertilized. Because pregnancy hasn’t taken place, levels of the hormones estrogen and progesterone drop.

WORKING IN THIS PHASE


Low energy levels, this is a time you should slow down and look inward. Reflection, analyzing, reporting, working with numbers, improving systems and processes are said to be the best time to get these things done,

Rest and Reflection , Yoga, light work outs, long walks

  • Deep breathing - enables more air to flow into your body and can help calm your nerves, reducing stress and anxiety

  • Yin Yoga - sit longer, stretching, seated and supine

  • Walking- keeps the heart pumping

  • Take naps -sleep help the body to heal

RESET AND REPLENISH THE BODY

Your body is undergoing a controlled inflammatory response. Nourish yourself with nutrient dense, anti- inflammatory foods

  • Iron containing foods - due to blood loss; its important to get iron back in the body- legumes, quinoa, pumpkin seeds

  • Spinach

  • High anti-oxidant berries - blackberries blueberries, raspberries

  • Healthy fats - Avocado/Olive oil

  • Stay away for sugar

  • Magnesium - Dark Chocolate
